Haruki Kitahara (北原 春希 Kitahara Haruki) is the main protagonist in the series. He is the former class president of Class 3-E at Houjou University Attached High School.
Appearance[]
Haruki is a teenage boy of average height with unkempt black hair and bangs that fall above his attentive grey eyes. According to Setsuna Ogiso, his back and shoulders are broad.
Until he enters university, he is often seen wearing his school uniform (whether it be with his jacket or not).
Personality[]
Haruki is a optimistic, pushy and sometimes bossy boy who is normally an energetic class president where he is willing to take charge and he is extremely diligent when it comes to school activities and studying.
However, he is incredibly indecisive when it comes to his emotions and romantic relationships as his indecisiveness creates immense conflict in his relationships with both Kazusa Touma and Setsuna Ogiso. Eventually, in Kazusa's True Ending, he faces his flaws, mistakes and feelings that he decides to officially end his relationship with Setsuna and marries Kazusa.

Etymology[]
- The name Haruki means "spring" (春) (haru) and "hope" (希) (ki).
- Haruki's surname Kitahara means "north" (北) (kita) and "field, plain" (原) (hara).
